Made In Europe 2: An Anglo-German Design Study
As a Writer/Editor, I worked in close partnership with Professor Chris Voss, Director of the Centre for Operations Management at London Business School and senior IBM managers.

Our report concentrated on the processes that create and bring new products to market. By focusing on some 250 manufacturing operations in the UK and Germany, we explored how thoroughly these processes are performing against world-class standards.

My key accomplishments:

• Clear, concise and precise language transformed complex concepts, research and analysis into plain English.
• Helped promote IBM and LBS research capability onto the Financial Times front page and into the DTI's white paper on competitiveness.

Who Murdered MRP? An Industrial Mystery
With my co-author Geoff Relph, Chairman of the Institute of Operations Management, I wrote this successful series of articles for the IOM's technical journal, Control.

Exploiting the style of the hard-boiled detective novel, I turned the complexities of Material Requirements Planning into allegorical murder mystery - complete with suspects, motives and a body!

As a Technical Author, during the software's early development, I wrote a creative, thought-provoking User Guide, which:

• And - helped launch and promote the product online.
